The development week.

The development week.

A shape, not a fixed package. Every element below is adjusted to the age group, the level and what your staff want tested.

Day by day

How the week is built.

Day 1

Arrival and first orientation

Coach transfer from the airport or St Pancras with assistance in your own language, a panoramic tour of the city, and check-in to a centrally located hotel. Nothing demanding — the work starts tomorrow.

Day 2

Stadium visit and first workshop

A morning behind the scenes at a Premier League ground, with the depth of access chosen when we build your programme. Lunch, then an afternoon workshop on sports psychology.

Day 3

First fixture

Warm-up on a local pitch alongside a local coach, then the first friendly match. Lunch afterwards, and a free afternoon with recommendations from your guide.

Day 4

Training with a club coach

A second ground in the morning, then lunch built to the standard served to professional athletes, and an afternoon training session led by a club coach.

Day 5

Second fixture and Wembley

Warm-up and the second friendly match against a different level of opposition, then an afternoon at Wembley — the closing note most groups remember.

Day 6

Departure

Transfer to the airport or St Pancras with assistance, and a written debrief for your staff covering both fixtures.

We work on ground services only: transfers, accommodation, pitches, fixtures, meals and guides. International flights stay with you or your own travel agent, which keeps you free to book them when and how it suits. Opposition is selected for a genuine level match and confirmed as the programme is built; stadium access depends on each club’s own availability.

Workshops

The part that travels home.

Fixtures end. What your players understood about preparation, recovery and pressure does not.

Workshop

Sports psychology

Preparation, pressure, and recovering from a poor result — the part of development least often taught and most often decisive.

Workshop

Nutrition

What professional athletes actually eat, why, and how a young player can apply it without a club kitchen behind them.

Workshop

English through football

Language taught inside the sport your players already care about. Vocabulary from the pitch, the dressing room and the analysis room.

A debrief your staff can use.

After the week

A debrief your staff can use.

Both fixtures are reviewed and written up: where the level sat, what held under pressure and what did not, and how the group compared against the opposition we selected. Benchmarking is the reason for the trip, so it does not end at the airport.

Let’s build your academy’s programme.

Tell us the age group, the level and roughly when you would travel. We will come back with a structure, an honest view of the opposition we can arrange, and what the week would actually deliver.
